Our limits
We don't quote a firm price over the phone for anything beyond a basic spring swap or opener tune-up, because we can't see the door's true condition, the track alignment, or how the previous install was done until we're standing in front of it. A door that looks like a simple cable job sometimes turns out to need a new bottom bracket and a section replaced, and that changes the number.
We also won't quote sight-unseen on a door with visible structural damage, like a bent track from a car backing into it or a section that's split, because those jobs vary too much house to house. And if a door is old enough and worn enough that repair costs start approaching the price of a new one, we'll tell you that plainly instead of running up a repair bill on hardware that's going to fail again in a year.
We don't do commercial rolling steel doors or gate systems. If that's what you've got, we'll say so on the call instead of wasting your time.
